T-Shirts Print Options

At Logobear we are often asked "What is the best way to print a t-shirt?" and our answer is that there are many 'best' ways depending on what you want. Logobear offer over a dozen different tshirt print options and each is best in different situations. The deciding factors are (in no particular order)
Number of garments to be decorated with identical designs. Cut Vinyl, laser transfere or sublimation are ideal for one-off and for short run, but screen printing can become more cost effective as numbers increase.
The nature of garments: Colour and fabric type can dictate which method of decoration is most suitable or appropriate. Swim and dance wear require different treatment to hoodies and fleece.
The expected life of the garment. Is it for a one-off such as a Hen Night or short term promotional activity, or for long term hard wear? Embroidery is best for uniforms, workwear, chef whites etc, while transfere can be perfect when a garment might only need to withstand fewer wash cycles.
Budget. Frequently there must be compromise in design. Multi location artwork on quality garments might be more than you need as a promotional give-a-way
The order pattern. Can you order a years worth of garments at once or do you prefere to order as you need them?
Individual Customisation. Do you want to include individual names? Sports strips and Stag/Hen night tops are much better with personal names on the back, and uniforms and workwear can create a more informal atmosphere when names are included below your logo.
The nature of your artwork. Simple text and shapes can easily be printed or embroidered, but complex designs and logos often require special treatment, and the 'best' approach will be influenced by all the above factors. Do you want decoration just on one side, or a brest logo, or perhaps along arms, legs and more. Some designs are not possible unless you can provide the panels to the garment before assembly. We suggest you talk with us about your ideas at the earliest possible stage to avoid dissapointment. More on artwork here.
And Finally: Timescale. Logobear love to offer a 1 hour/while-you-wait t-shirt printing service, but obviously we can only offer this in some situations, and using certain technologies.
Please involve Logobear in your design process. We want you and your crew to look great and feel comfortable, and for the garment to achieve it's purpose. George, Tracy, and Phil at Logobear have a total of nearly 50 years experience in t-shirt print and embroidery, and our experience can help you save money and look even better!
